The Festival begins its 16th edition with much desire and a line-up which once again intends to give visibility to films realized of the Maghreb and in the Near East.

Férid Boughedir, major figure of the Tunisian cinema and Arab world will honor us by sponsoring the festival and will make an appearance for the opening of his film "Parfum de Printemps". Known as one of the most famous critics of Africa and Arab world, the director of "Halfaouine " and "Un été à la goulette", Boughedir is world renowned, having been on the jury for the festivals of Cannes, Berlin and Venice.

Amir Ramsès' film Cairo Time will be presented in tribute to the late star of Egyptian cinema, Nour El Sherif, a favorite of Youssef Chahine.

The program with also include the first fiction film shot entirely in Yemen: "Me, Nojoom, 10 years, divorced" by Khadija Al-Salami..

Young talents, established authors, and newcomers will be a part of this year's festival, all in unique forms, forming a dynamic group of leaders, both in hope and social transformation.

This edition, longer than the previous, remains unique and essential: comedy, humor, music, and poetry have been added to the line-up.
